South Park Redfines the F Word

Recently the T.V. show South Park attempted to redefine the F word (the one more recently used to describe gays) to mean loud annoying bikers. I for one like this idea. Over the last decade I have really started hating noise pollution caused by inconsiderate people (not just bikers with no mufflers, but the people that drive around in their gheto blasters, and SUVs and Sports cars with no mufflers either). It is disrespectful to be loud and obtrusive. Furthermore this nation used to have enforced noise ordinances. Perhaps our police don't have the time today to deal with "trivial" things anymore, but I have a strong suspicion that they started enforcing noise ordinances again, they would catch a lot of criminals with drugs, paraphernalia, and illegal weapons in the process (it already happens with other traffic violations, why would noise ordinances be any different). More over, a lot of criminal cultures value the right to loud and annoying, since it is a part of their rebellious nature.

Simply put, you aren't center of the universe, no one wants to hear your loud annoying vehicle/music, so turn it down or shut the frak up you fags.

For those that didn't see the episode of South Park:

Also: I think protesters are loud an annoying too.

Employment Equity objectives

"In order to meet our Employment Equity objectives, we have established programs, which will improve the situation of certain disadvantaged groups in the workforce. The information that you provide is confidential and will only be used by the employer for carrying out its obligations under the Employment Equity Act. Your response is voluntary and you may identify yourself in more than one of the designated groups." -From an actual job application form.

So in other words, in order to meet a quota imposed by the government, I won't get the job because an equally qualified minority applies for the same job and got preferential treatment. WTF? How is that equitable?

This is why I always decline to specify my race and gender. Though I doubt it does any good since, they probably give extra points to people who specify themselves as a minority, rather that removing points from W.A.S.P.s.

I think I am getting closer to debugging my computer.

So I was looking through my old xanga blogs from last Feb. and I found an entry on Feb 13 about a fatal system error. At the time this bothered me, I think because I hadn't gotten those regularly before then. It said to check newly installed hardware I assumed it was my TV tuner. However, as I looked at this post I realized that I had recently, at the time, installed my DVD/CD burner. Acting on this newly realized data I found the latest firmware for the device and updated it.

Results so far:
Windows crashed within 24 hours as it had been doing lately.
Windows Then ran a week straight until I had to reboot due to windows update.
Windows then crashed 24 hours later.

I am now going to track down my next lead which should take a two weeks to track down.

New Horizons

Shadows of nothing linger on the wind.
Something is longing, something is waking.
Stirring from the stillness of sleep,
where hope was lost in a dream.
Hope is waking, trying to break free.
The nightmare still lingers, a shadow, a figment
fading in the light of the sun that is climbing beyond the horizon.
Hope is searching, searching for something
to send the shadows running, and cast them away.
Soon it shall happen, the day when hope has returned.
The wait is nearly over, so keep watch on the sky, for a new horizon has dawned.

My V-Day confession.

So I have a secret that I have kept since last Feb 14. However, it must be told in story format:

So last night I went to walmart at midnight and they had all the Valentines day <> out all over the place. It kind of reminded me of late night trip to walmart last Feb 13, that is rumored to have happened. You  see a friend who I was interested in said she was sad because she wasn't going to get any thing for valentines day. Well not much later I put a card and some candy in her mail box, and someone who overheard the comment saw this and everyone assumed that I went out to wal-mart and bought them because she said that. Well today I am setting the story straight:

What really happened: As stated earlier I like this person, and I wanted to let her know. I decided to let her know I was interested in her by getting her a box of chocolates and a card and asking her out on v-day. Yeah I know its cheesy, but I didn't really care. Well a few days before feb 14 I started to suspect that she might not be the nice girl I thought she was, so I decided to wait on asking her out. Well that night when she said that, I knew it was the right thing to do to lift her up, so I wrote some friendly advice on the card about waiting for love.

Now I have made myself sad :(.
